Epaminondas “Nonda” Mouhanis

Executive Board

Brothers and Sisters,

My name is Epaminondas Mouhanis, though most of you know me as Nonda. I’ve proudly been a member of IBEW Local 26 for 19 years, and I consider this union not just my career—but my family. While I have roots in Greece, my home and my heart are here with the brothers and sisters of Local 26.

Since joining, I’ve made it my mission to treat every member with the same kindness, respect, and solidarity that this union has shown me. It’s that spirit of brotherhood that inspired me to step up and serve wherever I could—whether volunteering at union events, supporting our members in difficult times, or organizing efforts to give back to the community.

In 2019, I was honored by your trust when you elected me to serve on the Executive Board. I’ve continued that work as a representative on the Northern Virginia Labor Council and as President of the Local 26 Motorcycle Riders Club, where we’ve proudly raised funds for causes like Special Love, a charity that supports children with cancer and their families.

As one of six elected Executive Board members representing nearly 13,000 members of Local 26, I take seriously the responsibility to listen, advocate, and act in your best interest. I respectfully ask for your vote to continue serving you on the Executive Board. Regardless of the outcome, you’ll continue to see me doing what I’ve always done—supporting our union, showing up for our members, and giving back to the Local that has given me so much.

Fraternally,
Epaminondas “Nonda” Mouhanis
